UVA and UVB – What’s the Difference?

A relatively easy way to remember the difference
UVA = A for Aging and Always There
UVB= B for Burns

UVA penetrates through clouds, glass, and clothing, and is absorbed down to the dermis layer of the skin, damaging the skin’s DNA, protein and collagen, and accelerating skin laxity, wrinkling and aging; whilst UVB penetrates outer layer of the skin causing different range of pigmentation, photoaging and skin cancer.
